Veneers are ceramic shells crafted out of multiple translucent layers of porcelain. The shells fit directly over the visible portion of your teeth for a cosmetic improvement that looks and feels natural. To ensure the veneers rest flush against your teeth, we will comfortably prep your teeth by gently removing a minimal portion of your tooth’s outermost layer – also called your enamel.
We will first meet with you during an initial consultation to take impressions of your teeth. We will send the impressions to a lab where a master ceramicist will use them as the basis to create your veneers. During your first visit we will also discuss your preferences for your improved smile and we will prep your teeth. You will typically return for one more visit, so we may permanently place the veneers and make final adjustments.
