Guide to Cosmetic Treatments
Teeth Whitening: We offer multiple forms of teeth whitening. We have two options for in-office whitening. Both involve coating the teeth in a bleaching gel and then using a curing light to activate the gel, removing the stains in a single visit. The third option is home-based. Patients wear a whitening tray filled with a bleaching gel daily for a set amount of time. Treatment takes a week to ten days for optimal results. Professional whitening options often offer longer lasting and more dramatic stain removal than store bought alternatives.
Cosmetic Bonding: If a tooth is stained or damaged, we may be able to treat it with cosmetic bonding in a single visit. The doctor cleans the tooth and applies a composite resin, reshaping the tooth and masking discoloration. In some cases, this can be a cost-effective alternative to veneers or crowns.
Veneers: Another option for changing the appearance of a tooth, the doctor places a custom-made porcelain shell over the front of the teeth. Veneers are lifelike and stain-resistant, correcting misshapen or malformed teeth, masking stains, and closing the gap between the teeth. We can also mask the appearance of minor misalignment.
Invisalign: If you have minor misalignment then we may be able to correct the issue without metal braces. The patient wears a series of clear aligners, upgrading to a new set about once every two weeks. Treatment lasts about a year.
