Dr Pepper: Dr Pepper was created by Dr. Alderton in Waco, Texas in 1885. He wanted to create a soda that “tasted like the drugstore smelled.”  He created Dr Pepper using cane sugar.  Only few bottlers in the US use pure cane sugar.
